3+Y is a botanical street artist hailing from New Zealand, currently based in London. Having studied botanical illustration at Kew Gardens, followed by several years hosting The Botanical Lovecast, 3+Y combines scientifically accurate representation of plant life with hyper-chromatic schemes.

One of 3+Y’s ongoing artistic explorations revolves around the structural correlations between botanical specimens and sacred geometry. In a bid to further probe the mathematical underpinnings of natural architecture 3+Y is branching out into three dimensions, utilising digital design and 3D printing with a series of iridescent platonic solids.

This early-career artist’s diverse disciplinary background, bold approach to colour, and enthusiasm for new tech precipitates in a unique fusion of precision and spontaneity.
