Vika Stolbova works with up-cycled, sustainable, or unwanted materials to create something new. Vika is fascinated by the idea of memory and meaning attached to clothing.

With a background in fashion, Vika has seen the waste generated by the industry and is concerned about what this does to the planet. The industry runs on the backs of women from third world countries and demands perfection for very little pay. Vika feels this demand for perfect clothing, or even perfection has gotten us in trouble. Her work seeks to address these issues by focusing on giving old discarded garments a new life, whilst paying homage to the women who created the clothing.

Vika previously ran her own childrenswear brand but is also interested in womenswear.
